I washed these harshly in my washing machine this morning. And I washed them again and again... I did read somewhere that Fisher and Paykel washing machines are not rough enough to felt quickly... But we did persevere and got there in the end.
I spent most of the morning blocking them on my feet, so they'd dry nicely to my foot shape.
As you can see by the pic, they are now nice and stiff, and will stand on their own. They feel sooo good on my feet too.
I'm pleased! :-)

These are absolutely beautiful, you can be justifiably proud.
I really like the look of these. They look very comfortable.
These look great! Well down - excellent felting.
Oh they look great! Great job!
Oh, Rosie, those are so nice!! Great job!
I stand in awe, they are fabulous! I so have to learn to felt.
They are gorgeous! I love the colours. What did you end up doing with the spare slipper?
BTW, I had the same 'gentle' problem with my LG front-loader when I made a pair of slippers back in June. I ended up scrubbing them by hand in the kitchen sink. They felted in the end, but I'm not felting anything again any time soon!
Those came out gorgeous!
The spare slipper is currently being knitted into toddler sized slippers.
Felting's easy! Toss 'em in the machine and wash away in hot water. Wash and wash if you have a gentle machine, but you do get there in the end. At least I would have more leeway again making them too small.
They are wonderful!!! Well done!! I ahve a F&P too, and they are a bit gentle. It just takes a while....
