Mr Froggie...

Mr Froggie went a`courting on a SSS`s day
Ahum....

I finished the second slipper, to discover that the two balls were totally different colour changes! Ack! I *much* preferred the second slipper, so have decided to knit a third one from the third ball of yarn. Hopefully this will turn out more like the second slipper, rather than the first one...

(Why is it that I can`t put proper apostrophes in my posts? Very frustrating for a typist to say the least!)

Dear Rosie, the colour changes in variegated wool can be the bane of your life!! I hope the third ball is a good one!! The Lion Brand is, well, sturdy. It doesn't drape, it is quite solid and not terribly soft, however, it makes a jolly good pair of Winter socks that would be everyday and serviceable. I did a foot length of 25 cm and had very little left over. Hope that helps!!!

Oh dear, then you'll have three slippers!

:-O

I might run out then! I need a 26.5cm foot.

Maybe the Lion Brand would be a good candidate for toe up socks then. I can just stop when I run out. :-)

No, there won't be three slippers. There'll be a pair of big ones for me, and a pair of toddler sized ones for Peach.

That's the current plan, anyway.
